Her family consisted of three siblings, one brother and two sisters. Hungarian was her mother tongue and she used it frequently to keep her proficiency. Bruckner was an actress from California in Hollywood, being born of Hungarian parents as well as Russian mothers who had separated. Bruckner's paternal grandmother was German. Her parents met in Hungary and moved into the U.S. in 1984 through an asylum camp in Italy. There is a sister and a brother.
