Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor who is best known as a character on the popular TV show 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. Since his time in university Christopher Meloni was interested in the acting world. He went to study acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. While he was active on TV and film and on stage, his appearances on small screens have earned him a lot of recognition. He has been able to easily play characters from both sides of the law to grab an audience's interest. His first project was a television serial, but he later played an officer for the NYPD. In recognition of his performance on tiny screens, he's been awarded numerous nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. Eyes that are piercing blue on his face have been deemed to be his most attractive feature. These have been used to portray rough characters and give them charisma. He was listed as one of People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
